Video Rotate App Reviews
absolutly fantastic -
it is easy, works with one click!!!!
Rotates the video if you play it with e.g. Quick Time, but does not rotate the video if you play it with Flash. I guess it only modifies the file header, not the frames themself, or something like that
Nice
It works perfectly. Easy, simple, clean program. Thanks
Doesnt Actually Rotate the Video!!! Opening the video in VLC shows the video is still in its original rotation. All this app does is set the quicktime video rotation flag same as you can do in quicktime, so that quicktime or other apps that embed quicktime displays it rotated. It isnt actually rotating keyframes and rebuilding the video. :-( Money wasted...
I purchased the app and it doesn’t work…I keep dragging my video to the space it tells me to and nothing happens..and there are no controls like the one on the app’s website. What’s up??
Plain and simple. This app does what QuickTime 7 and iMovie does. Sure, its nice if you need it done quick and on the fly, otherwise, its just a waste.
This app finally works with a beta version available from the author, which will be availabel in the AppStore very soon. Simple interface with only three buttons. Rotate Left, Rotate Right, and Close. Pretty hard to go wrong.
So Ive taken some videos with my iPhone, but its vertical instead of landscape. It is still the right side up, but I just needed it in a wide screen display. Not official wide screen resolution, but I just mean not vertically. This APP literally only rotates the video without taking into consideration the dynamics of the video. Ive never taken a video the wrong way, only that it is vertical instead of horizontal. I wasted money and hope I can get a refund.
Basic good app.
This app is down and dirty no frills. Does what it says and does it well. Verdict - Buy.
...but it doesnt bother to maintain any metadata about the original file. If we drag in a video clip from iphoto, even if we select to save the file in the same place, the new file that is created as ouput of this program loses geographical location, date of creation, etc. This causes iphoto to treat it as a brand new file, and it is difficult to reset all these properties by hand (if even possible for the average user). I would give 5 stars if the program would literally do as one would expect and simply rotate a videos orientation without having to muck around with creating and organizing new files and restoring metadata by hand.
Great at first
This worked beautifully the first time I needed to use it, but now it does not rotate when I tell it to and I feel like I wasted my money.
Rip Off
This does not work at all. The "support" on their website is a joke (just tells you how to uninstall). Im running OS X Lion
In the end I got it to work, but I had to convert my .mov file to a .mp4 for it to work properly. The .mov file rotated inside the existing aspect ratio, rather than rotating the entire canvas 90 degrees as I needed it to. Once I converted it to an MP4 the video rotated the canvas 90 degrees succesfully.
Doesnt Rotate My MP4
Doesn’t work. Wasted Money! It does not rotate my MP4 file!
DIfficult and quirky to use
Just not worth the effort. Frankly, I consider this a $3 donation to the less fortunate. Dont bother.
I have tried this with MOV files, with MP4 files and with M4V files and it literally does nothing. You press the button to rotate and nothing happens apart from it saving a duplicate file (if yoiu’ve chosen that option). Their customer support is unresponsive and they offer no refunds.
It does NOTHING
This app does NOTHING. Nothing at all. A total rip off! Does Apple even look at these apps before they get released? I want my money back!
